As you can imagine, what with being the Content Marketing Manager here at Koozai, I love Content Marketing. In my busy day-to-day role I get to enjoy some wonderful content creations, but also, I get to see what other influential Digital Marketers are doing from around the globe. As such, I want to share with you some of the best Content Marketing presentations from the most influential figures in the industry. Enjoy.
As a marketing representative for your company, you are likely to at least be aware of content marketing. Content Marketing is here to stay, and if you are not utilising it, then your competitors have got a significant advantage if they are. In order to successfully implement a content strategy into your business, you will need buy in from the higher ups.
Is your business thinking about producing online content? Perhaps you already are but you’re not really seeing the benefits; well ask yourself, do you have a strategy? Is your content working for you the way it should be?
Guest blogging – it’s a minefield right? What sites can you write for, where should the link go, should you even ask for a link these days? These are all valid questions that any online business needs answers to. The good news is you’re in the right place.
If your website was a person, would it be saying this to your customers? “You never visit me anymore. We used to be great together. You’d fill my basket page with products and I’d get them out to you as fast as the postal service could carry them. What happened to us?! Did I get old? Is it a case of out of sight, out of mind? IS THERE SOMEONE ELSE?! I used to be NUMBER ONE!”
So you’re creating great content, keeping your social channels updated with it and generally ticking the basic boxes for ‘spreading the word’. It’s a good start. But unless you have millions of loyal and interested followers, you won’t see much return. You need to start engaging with influencers.
The success of your content isn’t just in the details it’s in the promotion as well. As such, do you know how to promote your content? It’s important you have a good idea of where you want to promote your content, and to whom as this blog post outlines in detail:
Nobody wants to create content that is seen as “Boring” but sometimes that’s exactly what a business needs in order to help convert customers. In my presentation from BrightonSEO I take a look at how the 100 biggest businesses in the UK & US use boring content to earn billions and the lessons you can learn from them.
How do you make your content stand out from the rest? The teams at LookBookHQ and Beutler Ink believe it’s through telling great stories – and not only have they put together some compelling stats on content consumption online, but they’ve included lots of useful tips on effective storytelling to make your content stand out.
Here’s the simple answer: If you don’t want to increase your conversions and/or create effective relationships with your existing, as well as prospective clients, then NO you don’t need to create regular company Newsletters. If however you do, then you should; here’s why.
Every blog is broken in some way.
Once you accept that, it’s easier to make amends and to reshape your blog into something that drives conversions, attracts the right audience and ranks well in search engines.
