As the title of this blog post suggests, the New Year brings with it whole new challenges. For some it’s losing weight, getting fit, or learning a new language. For many students in their last year of university, it’s finding the time to secure a career (or even simply work experience) whilst still focussing on completing their work.
With more mobile devices connected to the internet this Christmas than ever before and the huge increase in tablet devices likely to be unwrapped tomorrow, it’s no surprise that the internet and digital devices are becoming a big part of our Christmas experiences.
I’ve always felt a bit sorry for vacuums. Hear me out. There are hundreds of brands of vacuum, yet Hoover have capitalised most on both the name and the action. Let’s face it, you’re much more likely to say you are going to “hoover” something than you are “vacuum” it; and all because they probably had a better marketing team at one point or another.
For our 8th Koozchat, 24 people got together to discuss the future of Digital Marketing. We covered SEO, Content Marketing, Paid Search and Social Media with lots of interesting views on the challenges 2014 will bring. You can find all of the responses below.
At Koozai we love SEO and PPC and have been using both channels on a mixture of clients for over eight years, yet we’re often asked which is better. With SEO and PPC sometimes seen as natural enemies we thought it would be helpful to pit the two against each other and see which is right for different scenarios.
Koozai are extremely proud to announce that after travelling to London last night for the third annual UK Search Awards, we picked up the award for Best Blog, for all the hard work and effort we have put into our TV channel and digital marketing blog on Koozai.com.
Yesterday UK Sports Network held an event for people who work in the sports digital environment. This was the first in their Digital Sport London series which is going to be run on a monthly basis. The event had three sections; a skype call with special guest, a presentation from Matchchat and a panel discussion with top UK sport bloggers.
I am pleased to announce that as part of our continued growth at Koozai, Robert Barrett has joined the company as Managing Director.
Robert is not completely new to Koozai, he has played a crucial behind the scenes role in the early stages of our history, helping advise on technology issues and management strategies. Robert’s prior experience with the company sets him up perfectly to oversee the day-to-day running of the business.
TED conferences are something I’ve always been in awe of, so when I was given the chance to attend TEDx Brighton I jumped at the chance. So you can get involved as well throughout the day today I’ll be bringing you my favourite tips from every talk.
Following up from our round-up of day one of the eMetrics Summit in London we’re back with more talks from the second day. Today’s topics include A/B testing, measuring visitor intent, data confessions and more.
