MeasureCamp’s third unconference marks the success of both the concept and also the growing profile of analytics and on a broader level web measurement in the digital industry.
This weekend Think Visibility celebrated its fifth year and 9th conference. It was a birthday party, a Christmas party and of course had great sessions about SEO, business, analytics and more! I had a fantastic time meeting new people, catching up with those I’d met before and learning new things.
It’s time once again for SAScon, so we sent three Koozais to Manchester to support one of our favourite search marketing conferences in the UK. With more than 35 speakers, and 33 talks across two rooms and two days, we’ll be posting the key points from each talk for you to bookmark for easy reference in the future.
If you couldn’t make it to SMX London today, missed a session or just want a recap for all of the talks we’ve compiled our top tips from everything below. Myself and Anna Lewis attended all of the sessions so we hope you enjoy our write-up. You can also find slides from both our SMX talks on Koozai.com tomorrow.
Yesterday UK Sports Network held an event for people who work in the sports digital environment. This was the first in their Digital Sport London series which is going to be run on a monthly basis. The event had three sections; a skype call with special guest, a presentation from Matchchat and a panel discussion with top UK sport bloggers.
Here’s the second part of my Think Visibility write up, featuring Dixon Jones of Majestic SEO and Annabel Hodges of OMD, the first part of can be found here. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to catch the other presentations, so I’ll be with you in reading write ups of these that other people have done.

He gave an excellent presentation about link building, not just using Majestic SEO. He also included examples of what’s worked for particular websites:

It’s tough to get links from high profile websites such as the Guardian and TIME and only the strongest pitches and most effective outreach will get results. To do this it’s vital you understand the way people you are contacting work, alongside the needs they have, and all the hundreds of others things they have to get done.
You can do this with psychology, and in this presentation we reveal the same psychological techniques we used to get coverage in the BBC, Daily Mail, CBS, TIME and many more. Best of all we show you how to do this too.
