Held on 13th November 2012 at the Emirates Stadium, London, Econsultancy FUNNEL 2012 brings together like minded senior B2B marketers interested in aligning marketing and sales teams to drive new business and increase revenue. We were attending for the second year running and with many tracks and sessions from industry pioneering speakers, unfortunately it wasn’t possible to attend every talk, however here are some key takeaways from the sessions I attended for those that were unable to make them!
This afternoon, I had the pleasure of presenting at SES London, one of the largest conferences that travels around the world. When looking at the session ‘Winning PPC Tactics’, it got me thinking about what I could present.
At Think Visibility 6 I gave my first conference presentation, covering the topic of Making Money with Multi Channel Funnels, the new functionality in Google Analytics. So this should be beneficial to anyone who wants to know more about Multi Channels Funnels.
I’ve included the slides and everything I spoke about as well as everything I forgot to mention. I’m going to argue that I was sticking to the five minutes I was given, but I’d forgotten that rules can be ignored when Dom sets them!
I had the great pleasure of visiting the ionSearch conference today, hosted in the wonderful city of Leeds. This two day conference showcases the very best in search from around the globe, and I decided to share some of the great tips I’ve learned so far.
On the 22nd September 2011, I made my first appearance on a stage at OMN London alongside Mike Essex where we presented our tactics for dominating page one of the search results for a brand. If you had asked me six months ago whether I would have done something like this, the answer would have been a definite NO! However, I overcame my fears and stood up in front of approximately 300 people with an interest in digital marketing and presented to them.
From speaking to people in the industry over the past three years, public speaking is a fear of many people and I wanted to put together this post to share some of my thoughts and tell you how I went about combating that fear in 15 steps.
If day one of the CS Forum provided me with a deeper understanding of content strategy and useful takeaways [See: The Content Strategy Forum - Day One] then day two gave me so much more. I was able to discover content strategy tips from the very best people practising this discipline.
From easy to use success metrics to analysing your content using analytics and from strategies for the social web to effective video content, I listened to compelling talks, something that should be shared to the wider community. One of the key takeaways from the Forum, as advocated by Melissa Rach is that our competitive advantage comes when we share…so share I will…
SES London is here and we’ll be bringing you a recap of the talks we saw throughout the day. We’ll be covering talks on Twitter, Paid Media, Social Advertising, the changing face of Google and Attribution Modelling.
SEO conferences are great places to learn, network and make new friends, which is why Andrew Isidoro has put together this look at what makes SEO conferences so fantastic.
