Advanced Analytics by Anna Lewis at Think Visibility 7
This weekend I had the pleasure of attending and speaking at the fantastic Think Visibility conference. Massive thanks to Dom and his amazing team for organising such a fun event. Read more
Well, I have had a great couple of days at Advanced SMX London. I watched some insightful and some not so insightful presentations and met some brilliant like-minded people who I am looking forward to catching up with again at future conferences.
Anyway, moving onto some of the takeaways from each of the presentations…. Advanced SMX is a panel led conference with typically 3-4 speakers on each panel. I tried to make notes for each one but apologies if I have missed some as it’s not always easy to take everything down and take key bits in at the same time.
60 Eureka Moments From Think Visibility 7 (#thinkvis)
This weekend saw the 7th Think Visibility conference with a mixture of presentations and networking. From Analytics, to video, branding to SEO the conference took in a lot of different streams and provided a fantastic insight into what you should be doing for each of these disciplines.
For those who didn’t attend, or who want a recap, we’ve compiled our favourite tips of the day.
My First Public Speaking Appearance
On the 22nd September 2011, I made my first appearance on a stage at OMN London alongside Mike Essex where we presented our tactics for dominating page one of the search results for a brand. If you had asked me six months ago whether I would have done something like this, the answer would have been a definite NO! However, I overcame my fears and stood up in front of approximately 300 people with an interest in digital marketing and presented to them.
From speaking to people in the industry over the past three years, public speaking is a fear of many people and I wanted to put together this post to share some of my thoughts and tell you how I went about combating that fear in 15 steps.
Think Visibility 6: How Long is a Mile?
Drink Vis kicked off on Friday night with a great party at The Mint, featuring Koozai cocktails (or Kooztails as I like to call them) and some mini golf adventures.
For those that didn’t over do it on the Kooztails, the Think Visibility presentations started in earnest at 10am following a great intro from Dom Hodgson (“Koozai! Say it with me…’Koozai’…’Koozai’…’Koozai’…”).
There were brilliant swag bags featuring Think Vis Lego mini figures, pick n mix, and a cardboard Dom of course! Read more

My Thoughts From Think Visibilty 6
This weekend I was lucky enough to attend the sixth ThinkVisibilty conference in Leeds. After making my way to the pre-party on Friday, sponsored by ourselves, I attended the conference on the Saturday and had a great time meeting new people in the industry and finding out a tonne of new things.
Find below some of what I took from the conference and a summary of the talks I attended. Find out more about this year’s event on on my college Tara’s blog post on the event.
Brighton SEO 2011 Review - Afternoon Session
