Hi, I’m Sam and today I want to talk to you about the benefits of the
Display Network with Google.
The first thing I want to look at is the types of targeting that you can
use when it comes to using the Display Network, and the first of that is
the contextual targeting. What this essentially means is that Google will
determine which websites they will show your adverts on based on the types
of keywords that you’ve put into the campaign. So it’s not you specifying
the websites, it’s Google will determine which websites your adverts will
go on based on the type of content on that particular site.
Google AdWords and Google Analytics offer a wealth of reporting to help you get the most out of your PPC campaigns, but I am always surprised by the number of reports that don’t always get used.
Hi, I’m Sam and today I want to talk to you a little bit about paid search
reporting and the platforms that you can use in order to make your PPC
reporting better. So to start with I’m going to go a bit back to basics
because of the amount of AdWords campaigns that I see and that aren’t
actually set up for reporting properly is crazy. So I thought we’d go
through some of the basics first before we look at the kind of useful
reports that I use on a day-to-day basis.
Today I gave a presentation on Paid Search Reporting and Analytics. This post covers everything that I spoke about including links to Custom Reports, Analytics Dashboards and Whitepapers.

Over the past few years I have interviewed a lot of individuals for digital marketing related roles including SEO, PPC, Social, Analytics and Content. A lot of the time, interviews run pretty smoothly and you get an idea of how the interview is going to pan out right from the very start. However, there have been some occasions where I have interviewed people and some of the things they come out with are shocking!
This afternoon, I had the pleasure of presenting at SES London, one of the largest conferences that travels around the world. When looking at the session ‘Winning PPC Tactics’, it got me thinking about what I could present.
Hi, I’m Sam. Today I want to talk to you about remarketing. Remarketing is a relatively new service offered by Google, and previously you could only set this up via your Google AdWords account. It was quite clunky, and you had to just put different pieces of code on different elements of your site in order to start building up the audiences.
* Now that I have your attention, the ‘stat’ in the title is correct for the purpose of this post. It is based on the 125 brands who came top in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For in 2012. Read on to find out more….
